Small business websites · £0 upfront

Small business website design without the upfront bill

The whole site, written and live in weeks. £0 upfront, from £300/mo.

Small businesses get offered two bad options: build it yourself over six months of evenings, or pay thousands upfront and hope. We build the complete site first, free, and you only pay if you want to keep it.

// FOUR WAYS TO GET A SMALL BUSINESS WEBSITE

The cheap option is rarely the cheap option

A DIY builder looks like £20 a month until you count your own evenings and the plugins you end up buying. A freelancer is £1,500 to £3,000 upfront, an agency £3,000 to £8,000 or more. Day One is £0 upfront and from £300 a month with the content, SEO and hosting already in it.

The build

What a small business website actually needs

Not a portfolio piece. A site that answers the three questions every visitor arrives with: do you do this, do you cover me, and can I trust you.

01A homepage that says what you do and where

Service, area, proof, phone number. Most small business homepages bury at least two of those four.

02One page per service

A single services page cannot rank for eight services. Each one gets its own written page.

03Area pages that are not copy and paste

The towns you actually cover, each written properly, because near-me searches resolve to real places.

04Proof a stranger will believe

Reviews, accreditations, job detail and guarantees, placed where the decision is actually made.

05One obvious next step

Call, WhatsApp or a short form. Tested every month, because broken forms are silent.

06Speed on a phone, first

Most of your visitors are on 4G with one hand free. The build is optimised for that before anything else.

The process

Four steps, and the first one is free

STEP 01 · DAY 3

Free mockup

Tell us the business, the trade and the area. We design and build a working homepage. You pay nothing.

STEP 02 · WEEK 1

Approve or walk away

If it wins you over, pick a plan. If it does not, there is nothing to cancel and nothing owed.

STEP 03 · WEEKS 2 TO 4

Full site, written and live

Every service and area page written, SEO and schema wired in, forms tested, site live.

STEP 04 · EVERY MONTH

Kept moving

A monthly content and technical pass, because a small business site that sits still slides backwards.

Fit

This is done-for-you. Genuinely.

FAQs

Small business questions, answered straight

How much does a small business website cost in the UK?+

A DIY builder costs roughly £15 to £40 a month once you add a domain, a template and the plugins you end up needing, plus your own time. A freelancer typically charges £1,500 to £3,000 upfront and an agency £3,000 to £8,000 or more. Day One charges £0 upfront and from £300 a month, with design, all content, SEO and hosting included.

Is a website builder good enough for a small business?+

It can be, if you enjoy the work and have the evenings spare. What builders do not give you is written content, a proper page structure for search, or anyone watching the site after launch. Those are the three things that decide whether a small business site brings work in.

How many pages does a small business website need?+

Usually more than owners expect: a homepage, one page per service, a page for each area you genuinely cover, an about page with real proof, and a contact page. Ten to twenty pages is normal. Every one of them is written for you as part of the build.

Do I need to write the content?+

No. Writing every page is included. We research what people in your sector search for, write each page around it, and send you drafts to approve before launch.

What if my business is brand new?+

That is fine, and it is often the best time to start. We build from the business rather than an existing site, and the free mockup works exactly the same way.

Is there a contract?+

It is a rolling monthly subscription with no minimum term on the Local plan. If you leave on Rental the site comes down; on Rent-to-Own your credit is held and you can resume or buy out later.

No payment. No call. No pitch.
